Deviled Egg Dip (Easy & Delicious!)
Deviled Egg Dip is deviled eggs in their easiest and most delicious form! Forget scooping, mixing and refilling hard boiled eggs… Instead, dive right into this delicious party food!

Deviled Eggs are a classic party appetizer, right up there with charcuterie or Cheddar Bay Sausage Balls. But for a novice cook they can be a bit tricky to master. You’ve got to boil the eggs just right so the shell comes off clean, carefully remove the yolk without breaking the egg, and then refill each bite with just the right amount of filling. It’s not difficult, but it can be time consuming.
That’s why this Deviled Egg Dip is the greatest. You get all the flavor of deviled eggs that you love, but with half the effort. Everything is simply chopped, mixed, and seasoned as you go. It’s the easiest way to enjoy deviled eggs.
There’s also nothing better for a party than a good dip. I’ve shared my Cream Cheese Salsa Dip, Mexicali Dip, or Corn Fritos Dip.
Dips are easy to serve to a crowd because everyone can get as much as they want and choose whatever dippers they like. It’s an easily customizable appetizer–or the perfect snack to mix up for yourself!
If you’re a fan of deviled eggs, this recipe is one you must try!

How to Peel Your Hard Boiled Eggs
Getting your eggs perfectly boiled and peeled is the hardest part about making deviled eggs! While your eggs don’t have to look perfect on the outside for this deviled egg dip (since you’ll be chopping them up anyways), I do have a few tips for making peeling your eggs a little easier.
Step One: Crack your eggs against your counter or a hard surface, then roll them between your hands to create small cracks all over the egg.
Step Two: Hold the egg under cold running water. Begin peeling on the large end, working your way toward the smaller end. Be sure and get underneath the membrane that holds the shell on. The running water will help loosen the shell from the egg as you go.
Another viral trick I’ve seen is adding your egg and some water to a jar or small container with a lid and shaking hard so the egg continuously hits the side of the container. You don’t want to add too much water, just enough to come about halfway up the egg. The force continuously cracks the shell and the water helps to separate the egg from the shell. Give it a try!
Expert Tips
- For a little heat, add a dash of hot sauce or cayenne pepper.
- Feel free to dress up your dip just like you would deviled eggs! This dip would be delicious with bacon bits, chorizo or sausage.
- I started with 6 eggs but the dip wasn’t firm enough for my preference, so I added 2 more.
Recipe FAQs
If your dip doesn’t turn out as thick as you would like, feel free to chop up and add more eggs. The additional yolks will help soak up any excess moisture.
Alternatively if you want a thinner dip, add a tablespoon or two more of mayonnaise.
You can choose any kind of dipper to go with this dip. It goes great with:
– Pita chips
– Carrots
– Celery
– Multigrain crackers
– Ritz crackers
– Potato chips
– Pretzels
