Kool Aid Pie is a simple, fast, delicious dessert you didn’t know you needed in your life. It’s one of those desserts full of nostalgic flavor (like Dunkaroo Dip) that will take you back to a simpler time with just one bite.

While the flavor is fruity and sweet, the preparation could not be easier. This is a no-bake pie, just like my No-Bake Lemon Cheesecake or Peanut Butter Pretzel Pie that you can whip up in minutes and still feel proud to serve to even the pickiest guests. Kids and adults alike will be swooning over this fluffy Kool Aid Pie!

Ingredients to Make Kool Aid Pie

Here is a visual overview of the ingredients in the recipe. Scroll down to the recipe at the bottom for quantities.

Ingredient shot of the ingredients used to make kool aid pie.
  1. Kool Aid: You just need one packet. You can use any flavor. I used Tropical Punch flavor, for a complex flavor. If you want a tangy flavor, the citrus options might be good, and if you want a sweeter taste, the berry flavors would be great. You can use sugar free Kool Aid, but the flavor will be slightly less bold.
  2. Sweetened Condensed Milk: This gives your pie all the sweetness it needs along with a good amount of creaminess. Make sure you are not using evaporated milk, which is an entirely different product that is too liquidy for this dish.
  3. Cool Whip: Thaw for easy mixing. Feel free to substitute light if you want to reduce some fat, but keep in mind that the texture will be slightly less creamy, with a more airy texture.
  4. Graham Cracker Pie Crust: You can absolutely make your own  but a pre-made crust works just as well! You could also experiment with a vanilla wafer crust for a more buttery flavor.

Recipe Variations

A whole Kool Aid pie with whipped cream dollops, and fresh strawberries on top in a graham cracker crust.

This recipe works with any flavor of Kool Aid. I love the tropical punch flavor but it would also be great with:

  • Cherry (or Black Cherry)
  • Strawberry
  • Orange (I imagine this would taste similar to Orange Dreamsicle Salad)
  • Strawberry Kiwi
  • Watermelon
  • Pink Lemonade
  • Sharkleberry
  • Blue Raspberry Lemonade
  • Grape
  • Pineapple

How to Make This Recipe

A bowl of sweetened condensed milk whisked together with Kool-Aid powder.

Step One: Whisk the Kool Aid powder into the sweetened condensed milk.

A bowl of Kool Aid pie mixture with Cool Whip being gently folded in.

Step Two: Gently fold the Cool Whip into the mixture.

Kool-Aid pie filling being poured into a graham cracker crust.

Step Three: Pour the mixture into the graham cracker pie crust. Place in the fridge for at least two hours to allow the pie to set.

Expert Tips

  • Be sure to mix the Cool Whip in gently. Too much force will make your mixture runny, rather than light and fluffy.
  • This is a great make-ahead dessert since it needs at least two hours to set. Make it the night before and let it set up overnight. Cover lightly with plastic wrap to keep the top from drying out.
  • Garnishes like fresh fruit or a dollop of whipped cream make this simple pie look a bit more fancy!
