Expert Tips

  • Some online recipes call for air frying your fries for 10-12 minutes, but that personally made them too crunchy for my taste. Check the fries after 7 minutes and then continue cooking as desired.
  • Make sure to allow your air fryer to preheat before adding the fries. This will make them cook more evenly and get the right texture.

Why are Checkers Fries So Good?

Checkers fries are unique in the fast food industry for a few reasons!

  1. Thick: They are thick cut fries, which means that they hold their shape well and don’t get soggy.
  2. Battered: They are also coated in a seasoned batter, similar to a mozzarella stick coating, which coats the potatoes and keeps the fries extra crunchy on the outside, while allowing them to get soft on the inside.
  3. Seasoned: The seasoning blend added to the fries is well known for adding delicious flavor unreplicatable by any other fast food joint.
