Equipment

  • Microwave-Safe Bowl
  • 8x8 Pan

Ingredients

  • 8 tbsp butter, divided
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 4 3 oz packs Peeps (different colors for a fun, layered effect)
  • Food coloring, optional

Instructions

  • Lightly grease an 8x8-inch pan with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
  • Add one pack of Peeps (one color) and microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until fully melted.
  • Quickly mix in 1½ cups of Rice Krispies until evenly coated. Set aside. Repeat the process with the remaining 3 packs of peeps, setting aside each color.
  • Allow the colored cereal to cool the point that it can be handled. Once cooled, marble the rice krispie treats by placing small handfuls of color in layers and patches in the 8x8” pan. I did 3 layers!
  • Let the treats cool and set completely before slicing into squares. Serve & Enjoy!
