Notes

Recipe copyright The Domestic Spoon. For educational or personal use only.
  • Frozen Peas: You do not need to thaw the peas before putting them in the pot. The pot will thaw them as it comes to pressure.
  • Heavy Whipping Cream: I recommend full fat cream cheese for ultimate tastiness! You can use low fat if that is your preference!
  • Butter: Use salted or unsalted butter.
  • Cream Cheese: You do not need to soften the cream cheese. Use it right out of the fridge, the Instant Pot will soften it for you!
  • Feel free to use frozen, thawed, or canned peas, depending on what you have on hand. Do not change the cook time.
  • You can use different types of cream cheese to change the flavor of your creamed peas. Try experimenting with flavors like bacon cream cheese, jalapeño cream cheese, or chive cream cheese.
  • The mixture will look funny when you open the Instant Pot because the cream cheese is cooked, but you can't tell yet. Once you stir the mixture, the cream cheese will melt into the peas, making the perfect creamy sauce.
