Fried Pickle Dip

Fried Pickle Dip is an easy way to enjoy all the flavor of this delicious appetizer without any frying required! Enjoy plenty of tangy pickle flavor in a creamy, addicting party dip!

Equipment

  • Cutting board and a knife
  • Medium Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • cup mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp Ranch flavoring packet, less than a 1 oz packet
  • tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 cup dill pickles, finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • In a small pan on the stove, melt the butter. Add the panko breadcrumbs and toast over medium heat until brown.
  • In a medium bowl, use an electric hand mixer to combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth.
  • Add the ranch flavoring and smoked paprika and mix again.
  • Add the dill pickles and about ½ of the toasted breadcrumbs. Stir by hand until evenly distributed.
  • Spread the pickle dip in a shallow dish, then top with the remaining breadcrumbs. Serve with chips and enjoy!

Notes

  • Panko breadcrumbs: I don’t recommend substituting regular bread crumbs.
  • Cream cheese: You could save a few calories and use reduced fat if you wish.
  • Sour cream: You could use reduced fat.
  • Smoked paprika: You could also use regular paprika and a dash of hot sauce or just leave it out.
  • Dill pickles: Use any brand you prefer.
  • While this Fried Pickle Dip recipe is for a dip, you could also use this as a spread on a sandwich. Yum!
  • This dip may separate if it is stored overnight. Give it a good mix and it will be good to enjoy again!
